The subject in this carving seems demure. The carving of the hair is wonderful, leaves and berries accent her demeanor. The mounting is a silver gilded frame with a single twisted wire. It is a pin only and measures 1 1/2 inches x 2 inches. The material is conch shell. Circa 1900/1910
