A very odd rendition of Diana the Huntress is depicted in this cameo. The model seems to be slightly overweight. It is possible she has been eating too much of whatever she is hunting. The carving is good and she is shown with pearls and an elaborate gown. The material is conch shell. The mounting is 14kt gold and engraved. It is a classic design and measures 1 1/2 inches x 1-3/4 inches. Circa 1900
