This original Victorian cameo would be considered high quality. The material is called hard stone and is actually agate. It is referred to as Sardonyx. The mounting is 14kt yellow gold and is designed in the Etruscan style. It is a pin pendant combination and measures 1 3/8" x 1 1/4". The subject looks like "Mary Queen of Scotts" Circa 1880
