The color of the coral is a deep salmon orange. The carving has excellent relief. The mounting is designed in the Etruscan style and is 18kt gold. It is three fourths of and inch long and has a twisted pin. When Victorian traveled to Italy these pins would have been purchased a souvenirs. Circa 1880.
